AEVEX Phoenix Ghost programme

A US tactical-drone programme supplied to Ukraine, rather than one publicly uniform airframe. The Pentagon’s 2022 introduction identifies AEVEX; the company’s later SEC filing describes deliveries across seven systems. This programme-level profile follows that evidence and leaves a universal range, payload, silhouette and price unestablished instead of borrowing them from one member.[1][2]

Intervals preserve the published bounds; they are not statistical confidence intervals. A blank lower or upper bound stays open. Values belong to the named configuration, not every aircraft.

One scale. Different machines.

No scaled drawing is provided for this configuration. See the sourced dimensions and their limitations.

Human height is an illustrative 1.8 m; bus length an illustrative 12 m. Car length uses the cited MINI specification. Vehicle heights and drone side contours are schematic. Top views preserve published length and span; an absent dimension is never guessed.

One car length here is 3.821 m: MINI Cooper 3 door, March 2020 specification.

Family & configurations

AEVEX Phoenix Ghost programme

No sourced family relationship recorded in this edition. Similar roles do not establish a common design.

Form, sound & identification limits

  • The Pentagon called Phoenix Ghost similar in capability to Switchblade but explicitly not identical. That comparison establishes a broad role only. It is not an alias, a specification transfer, or evidence that a Switchblade report identifies Phoenix Ghost.[1]
  • AEVEX’s filing says Phoenix Ghost deliveries covered seven different uncrewed systems, then discusses the separate EUCOM Deep Strike programme. Aggregate contracts and delivery commitments cannot be divided into a reliable unit cost for a single aircraft, or treated as confirmed combat losses.[2]
  • These are two first-party evidence origins: the procuring government and the contractor’s own filing. They independently document programme identity, not a standard technical envelope or a specific archived strike. The displayed catalogue symbol is a generic role illustration, not a family-wide measured outline.[1][2]

Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.

No licensed, model-attested recording is available in our sound library.

What does it cost?

Published USD figures use different price bases and years. Airframes, export packages and support are not equivalent. These are not current offers or verified production costs.
