Geran-4

A Russian jet-powered one-way attack aircraft with a distinct GUR component catalogue and an original RFE/RL teardown. The baseline specification and the October 2026 modification remain separate. Jet propulsion or the Shahed family name alone cannot identify Geran-4 in an incident.[1][3]

Top-view bounding dimensions share one metre scale. Internal contours and side profiles are schematic; height is not inferred. Ranges show their largest outline and retain their labels.

Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.

Intervals preserve the published bounds; they are not statistical confidence intervals. A blank lower or upper bound stays open. Values belong to the named configuration, not every aircraft.

Human height is an illustrative 1.8 m; bus length an illustrative 12 m. Car length uses the cited MINI specification. Vehicle heights and drone side contours are schematic. Top views preserve published length and span; an absent dimension is never guessed.

One car length here is 3.821 m: MINI Cooper 3 door, March 2020 specification.

Dossiers, not aircraft or successful strikes. Counts reflect archive coverage and reporting choices. Dates below are dossier event dates; unknown months are excluded from the chart.

Linked dossiers use source-indexed type fields or positive editorial type assessments. These are not verified identifications. Free-text name mentions and unknown or negative assessments do not count.

Family-level links are included separately in totals, timelines and maps. Shahed-family reports lead here through the Shahed-136 profile; unspecified jet-drone reports through Geran-3. Neither establishes that model, and generic “drone” reports remain excluded.

The emergency service names Geran-4 in its account of the recovered warhead. This is its identification, not an independent model assessment or a count of aircraft; the article’s separate overnight attacks are not assigned this model.

Where this type appears

Counts follow model/family links in the archive. A general register link does not identify a model.

Family & configurations

Geran-4

No sourced family relationship recorded in this edition. Similar roles do not establish a common design.

Form, sound & identification limits

  • GUR’s dimensions and performance are official declarations linked to the baseline configuration. RFE/RL describes its own physical teardown and turbojet observation; its public page does not independently measure these numbers. Specimen identity between investigations is not established.[1][3]
  • The October update reports changes in propulsion and navigation. It is another publication by GUR, not a third independent evidence origin. No baseline range, warhead or dimensions are automatically assigned to that modification.[2]

Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.

No licensed, model-attested recording is available in our sound library.

What does it cost?

Published USD figures use different price bases and years. Airframes, export packages and support are not equivalent. These are not current offers or verified production costs.
