Reported drones prompted an airspace restriction at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base during the night of 13–14 December 2024. The War Zone obtained a direct base response and reproduced a published restriction notice. Later FOIA reporting describes security-force observations and the response.

What we know
The War Zone reproduces a four-hour restriction-notice window and reports that airspace reopened. This is not an independently measured disruption duration. The base said no impact to residents, facilities or assets had been established then. The airspace restriction is an operational effect; no physical damage or injury is established here.
The War Zone obtained an original response from the base. The Black Vault separately obtained incident records through FOIA and reported on them. Both arise from the same installation and may share underlying observations; they are not two independent technical detections. The raw release and videos are linked by that publisher but were not independently analysed here.
What remains unknown
The event date is the local Friday-night start, not the Sunday source publication. The FOIA article also covers 16 December; that separate night is not merged here. Its response-log sequence is not an exact reopening time. The restriction window and log timing are not summed or silently reconciled. Object type, count, operator and attribution remain unestablished. No flight path, altitude, gate, patrol position or private-person name reproduced.
Operator attribution: Not established. No operator or responsible organisation established by the reviewed sources.
