What we know
Federal police gave 22:00–22:45 local time for the closure. An airport spokesperson separately told NDR that three flights diverted.
The federal police account of a pilot report is relayed by dpa and NDR; that is one sighting origin. NDR separately quotes the airport operator about operational consequences. Wednesday evening means 5 November, not the 6 November dpa publication date or 7 November NDR update. Both reports describe the same closure.
What remains unknown
No independently verified identification, device recovery, operator or motive is established here. Langenhagen is a municipality reference. This is separate from the 26 December closure.
Operator attribution: Not established. No operator or responsible organisation established by these sources; no criminal charge or conviction is asserted.
How the story changed
A reported sighting or alarm led to the documented airport restriction; see the source-bound claims and uncertainty below. [1]
