Long-distance flight: energy is not connectivity

Three questions are often mixed up: how long the aircraft can remain airborne, how it estimates its location, and how it communicates. Endurance depends on the aircraft and its operating conditions. Navigation estimates movement and location. Communications move commands, telemetry and other data. Improving one layer does not automatically solve the other two.

Radio, mobile networks and satellite services have different roles. SpaceX describes Starshield as a government and defense offering. Its existence does not establish that any particular drone is connected to it. Coverage, service conditions, terminal compatibility and provider decisions are separate dependencies. Claims about a real deployment require their own evidence.
