DRONELEDGER / Press factsheet
Shahed-131 / Geran-1
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
The smaller Iranian Shahed one-way attack aircraft, called Geran-1 in Russian service. The independent OSMP guide and Ukraine’s official component portal distinguish it from Shahed-136; a bare Shahed family report cannot choose between them.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.
Form, sound & identification limits
- OSMP describes wingtip stabilisers extending above the wing on the 131, unlike the upper-and-lower arrangement on the 136. Partial or damaged views can conceal this distinction; shape alone is not an incident identification.[1]
- The 15 kg warhead and 900 km range are GUR declarations, not our measurements. OSMP gives a broader 10–20 kg warhead interval. Matching dimensions do not establish that every production batch has the same equipment.[2][1]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
