DRONELEDGER / Press factsheet
Bayraktar Kızılelma
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
A Turkish jet combat-aircraft programme from Baykar, distinct from its propeller-driven TB2 and TB3. Reuters covered the 2022 maiden flight and separately checked public flight data. The current manufacturer page describes a later specification and several proposed versions; those numbers must not be retroactively assigned to the first prototype or treated as combat certification.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.
Form, sound & identification limits
- The current table gives 14.5 m length, 10 m span and 8,500 kg MTOW. Its 1,500 kg payload capacity is separate. These are manufacturer claims for the present web configuration, not measurements repeated by Reuters.[1]
- Baykar publishes cruise and maximum speeds in Mach and a 500 nautical-mile combat radius. Neither is converted into a universal km/h speed or a total-flight-range observation: air conditions and mission definitions matter.[1]
- The maiden-flight report concerns the development programme, not independent verification of stealth, autonomous combat or carrier qualification. The canard-jet silhouette is schematic; no radar cross-section is inferred from it.[1][2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
