As of the Saxon investigators’ statement of 5 August at 13:45 local time (CEST, UTC+02:00), flight operations had initially stopped and partially resumed overnight. A separately described unidentified flying object reportedly damaged a freight aircraft; that damage is not attributed here to the recovered drone.

Saxon investigators are the primary source for the recovered device. AP is a separate newsroom and additionally reports a federal minister’s statement and scene photography, but the device finding rests on the same official investigation, not an independent forensic examination. Later Euronews reporting relays other newspapers’ allegations; it is not a second physical verification.

Not established

The operator, intended target and any connection between the recovered drone and the other unidentified object are unresolved. Later reports concerning a Ukrainian freight aircraft do not independently establish intent or Russian responsibility. Exact flight-suspension times are not provided.
