The later police statement gives 04:30–05:41 local time. The earlier Ritzau report describes roughly an hour and quotes the airport press chief confirming flight delays. The report concerned the surrounding area, not an established drone inside the airport.
Police supplied the sighting/investigation account; the airport press chief supplied a separate operational account to Ritzau. Early police comments said drone activity had not been demonstrated. The June 2026 national update says all district investigations concluded, mostly with drone explanations rejected and some unresolved; it does not specify this Billund event outcome.
