Shahed-149 / Gaza
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
Iran’s large reusable reconnaissance and strike aircraft publicly unveiled as Gaza in May 2021. Janes distinguishes official endurance claims from photographic size estimates; Insikt identifies the Shahed-149 Gaza as turboprop-powered. A resemblance to the MQ-9 is not proof of equivalent performance.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.

Form, sound & identification limits
- Janes’s roughly 11 m length and 20 m span are estimates relative to people and other aircraft in unveiling footage, not measured dimensions. They remain contextual prose and are excluded from the measured scale and comparison dashboard.[1]
- The 35-hour figure is attributed to an IRGC commander in 2021, not a verified loaded-endurance test. Insikt’s independent industry analysis supports propulsion/lineage context, not that performance claim.[1][2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
