DRONELEDGER / Press factsheet
Qasef family
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
Houthi Qasef-1 and Qasef-2K are related one-way attack aircraft. CAR’s original examination of seven Qasef-1 airframes supports an Iranian manufacturing attribution; later Wilson Center figures describe reported variant capabilities, not independent flight tests.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.
Form, sound & identification limits
- CAR physically documented Qasef-1 material in 2016–2017. That evidence predates and does not prove the 2019 unveiling date printed in Wilson’s overview. No single family debut year is assigned from that inconsistent chronology.[1][2]
- Wilson lists 30 kg or 45 kg for Qasef-2K. These are alternative reported loads, not a continuous measurement interval and not interchangeable with Qasef-1. The sources do not supply a matched set of whole-aircraft dimensions here.[2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
