DRONELEDGER / Press factsheet
Hermes 900
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
Elbit’s medium-altitude, long-endurance surveillance aircraft has national and mission-specific configurations. The current manufacturer page provides headline performance, while Switzerland’s independent procurement audit documents a Hermes 900 HFE system package. Neither source establishes a universal per-aircraft price.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.
Form, sound & identification limits
- Elbit’s 350 kg maximum payload is not the separate 250 kg modular installation-bay figure on the same page. The quoted takeoff weight is retained as labelled; maximum payload and maximum endurance are not assumed to occur together.[1]
- The 2019 Swiss audit describes CHF 250 million covering six aircraft, ground components, a simulator and logistics. Dividing the package by six would not yield an aircraft unit price. HFE procurement context is not a flight test of the baseline Hermes 900.[2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
