DRONELEDGER / Press factsheet
Forpost family / Forpost-R
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
A Russian-produced reconnaissance line derived from Israel’s IAI Searcher II. ICDS records the licensed lineage; GUR lists components of examined Forpost-R aircraft. The family spans different production generations, so an old survey row is not a universal current specification.[1][2]
Public-source profile. Performance claims are attributed; type links do not verify an incident identification.
Form, sound & identification limits
- ICDS labels a combined Forpost-R / Searcher Mk II row. Its 500 kg maximum takeoff mass and 16–18 h duration stay under that historical scope; they are not measurements of every later Russian airframe.[2]
- A component catalogue and a historical survey answer different questions. The family’s origin country is left unset because Israeli design lineage and Russian production are different facts; no checked dimensions are available here.[1][2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
