Baba Yaga · heavy multirotors
A compact selection from this profile, with sources and limits. Other configurations and additional measurements remain in the full profile.
A wartime nickname for Ukrainian heavy bomber multirotors, often represented by the six-rotor Vampire. It is a class label rather than a single make or universal hexacopter specification. Ukraine’s defence ministry names multiple systems under the heavy-bomber role; Reuters’ field imagery documents Vampire separately. A nickname alone cannot identify its manufacturer, payload or exact aircraft.[1][2]

Form, sound & identification limits
- The defence-ministry description names Vampire, Kazhan and Nemesis. These have different designs and configurations; a numerical payload or endurance from one must not become a class-wide value. This profile therefore leaves universal measurements blank.[1]
- Reuters’ field photographs and captions show a specific Vampire and describe day/night sensing. That is a separate original reporting origin from the ministry. The six-arm symbol is schematic, not evidence that every aircraft called Baba Yaga has six rotors.[2]
- Night operation, size and engine sound are not reliable model identification. The nickname also should not be conflated with a particular commercial agricultural drone, a small FPV quadcopter or a confirmed incident attribution.[1][2]
Shape or sound alone cannot identify a drone. Follow local public-safety alerts; do not approach wreckage.
