Refineries with a reported drone hit: nominal capacity
Which refineries appear in this archive with a reported or confirmed drone-attack impact, and what capacity do published sources give for them? A register of installations, not a measure of lost output.
3 refineries in this archive have at least one dossier with a reported or confirmed drone-attack impact between and . Their published nominal capacity adds up to 42.9 million tonnes of crude oil per year, each installation counted once.
- This is not an estimate of outage, lost output or repair time. A reported hit says nothing about which units were damaged or for how long, and nominal capacity is not what the plant actually processed.
- Who named the installation matters: a regional governor is a party to the conflict, and a media identification is not an operator statement. Every row shows who named it, with the passage.
- The archive is selective. Its systematic coverage of attacks inside Russia starts in October 2026; earlier and missing attacks are absent. The count is not a national total and cannot be compared with one.
- A reported hit and a change in fuel prices, exports or refinery runs in the same period is a coincidence in time, not a demonstrated cause. This page draws no such link and makes no forecast.
By week
Bars show the summed nominal capacity of distinct installations with a linked dossier in that week (Monday to Sunday, dossier date). A week without a bar means no linked dossier in this archive, not that no attack happened. Week totals are not added up over time; the overall total counts each installation once.
| Week | Installations | Nominal capacity (Mt/yr) |

Installations, capacity and the dossiers that link them
| Installation | Operator | Nominal capacity | Capacity source | Dossier | Who named the installation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ryazan oil refinery (Ryazan Oil Refining Company) Ryazan | Rosneft | 17.1 Mt/yr design capacity | The enterprise is capable of processing about 17.1 million tons of oil per year Pervy Tekhnichesky (www1.ru), English edition · |
Note: The same article gives the design capacity as about 17.087 million tons; Hromadske (2026) gives 17.1. The operator site rnpk.rosneft.com could not be reached on 2 November 2026 (TLS error), so no operator figure is cited. The governor speaks of a refinery in the region without naming it; the Interfax headline names the Ryazan refinery. | |
| Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery Novokuybyshevsk | Rosneft | 8.8 Mt/yr primary distillation capacity | Today the refinery’s primary distillation capacity is 8.8 million tons per year (64.35 million bbl). Rosneft (operator) |
Note: Operator page without a date. Reuters-based reports give 8.3 million tonnes; that figure is not used. Identification by a media OSINT analysis of residents' photos, not by the operator or an authority. | |
| Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery, Kstovo Kstovo | Lukoil | 17.0 Mt/yr installed capacity | The Kstovo Refinery has an installed oil refining capacity of 17 million tonnes per year. Interfax · |
Note: Lukoil's own refining page gives only a group total. Ukrinform (1 November 2026) repeats 17 million tonnes; a Ukrainian General Staff statement cited elsewhere gives 18 million tonnes, which is a party figure and not used. The regional governor reported damage to an industrial facility in the Kstovo district without naming it; the refinery is named by Telegram channels relayed by a Ukrainian state news agency. |
What the archive contains, and what is counted
Published dossiers that mention a refinery: 9. Linked to an installation here: 3. No reported or confirmed impact in the dossier, not counted: 4. Reviewed and excluded: 1. Awaiting editorial review, not yet counted: 1.
Inclusion rules
- Only published dossiers whose impact status is reported or confirmed; a target or an unknown impact is not a hit.
- The installation must be named in a source that the dossier itself cites; the passage is quoted.
- Capacity comes from a public source with a literal passage, its date and the date we read it; where sources differ, that is noted.
- One installation counts once in a total, however many dossiers mention it. Each figure is for the whole installation, not a unit.
- No locations more precise than the dossier, no unit-level damage, no forecasts.
Why no shipping series?
We also considered daily transits through maritime chokepoints (IMF PortWatch). On 2 November 2026 that daily series could not be retrieved without an access token, and the IMF terms require permission for automated downloading. It is therefore not used.
